Process
Workshop Day 1: This first day was used to brainstorm a list of possible future features for couchsurfing.
Workshop Day 2: On the second day brainstorming continued for the first part of the workshop. Once brainstorming was complete, the list was evaluated systematically by the group to determine the necessity and priority of each feature. The feature was read from the list and a basic explanation was given. Then members of the workshop voted with a show of thumbs (Thumbs Up = positive, Thumbs to the side = neutral, Thumbs down = negative) Based on the vote, the feature was prioritied as either Urgent, Important, or Can Wait.
Workshop Day 3: On the third day, an overview of activities from the previous two workshops was given. Then for each feature that had been prioritized as Urgent, a detailed description was given and a discussion took place. The final feature discussed was the Couchsurfing planner. Casey started by describing his vision for the planner and outlined the process flow through the planner. Then a discussion took place to clarify ideas, suggest improvements, and express specific concerns.
